Take your first step underwater with scuba gear.
The DSD program is designed for those who want to try scuba diving but may not necessarily want to obtain a full certification at the moment.
Here are some key aspects of the Discover Scuba Diver program:
Introductory Training:
The program begins with a brief theoretical introduction to basic safety and diving fundamentals.
This may include familiarization with equipment, safety rules, and underwater communication.
Pool or Confined Water Sessions:
Following the theoretical portion, participants engage in practical training in a pool or confined water environment, where an instructor assists them in becoming accustomed to the equipment and mastering basic skills.
Open Water Dives:
The final part of the program involves open water dives. Participants may complete one or several dives in the ocean or other open bodies of water under the supervision of an instructor. During this stage, they may encounter marine life and experience the sensation of swimming underwater.
Limited Privileges:
It is important to note that DSD certification grants limited privileges. Typically, it allows for dives only under the supervision of an instructor and to a restricted depth.
The Discover Scuba Diver program provides an opportunity for individuals interested in diving to try the sport before fully committing to a certification course. It serves as an introduction to certified scuba diving courses for those who are interested in further exploring this exciting and captivating activity.
